Standing in front of the Warsawa Wileńska shopping center/train station and on the right side of Vistula, you can trick yourself into thinking you are in Russia. This is the
point where trains from Petersburg used to arrive and that is why a huge ORTHODOX CHURCH was built here, apparently to ease the culture shock for travellers from Russia...! The Petersburg station
does not operate anymore but in 1945 a soviet army monument was erected in front of the church, so now the place looks even more russian. The monument is called "the four sleepers" because of the
lazy poses of the four soldiers...
